Sometimes sometimes it’s easy to live inside your own head. Today’s Sylvia quote seems to suggest just that.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my eyes and all is born again
Open your eyes. Get out of your head, and see the world. I don’t know what Sylvia Plath meant with this quote, but my interpretation is this; don’t be so inward thinking.
Too many of us are guilty of navel-gazing. Too much time spent inside our own heads, worrying about stuff that hasn’t happened yet, and may never happen at all.
There is a big, wonderful world out there, full of opportunity, so, even when it is the toughest thing to do, lift your eyes, and look for the opportunities that life offers.
